Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 14, 2026 · Mayeux MD Inc. d/b/a Wayfind Grow

Overview

Wayfind Grow (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an AI-powered property advisor built and operated by Mayeux MD Inc., a Utah company. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

We take property data seriously. You are trusting us with the location of your land and details about how you use it. We will never sell that information.

Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your name and Google account identifier. We use this solely to authenticate you and communicate with you about your account.

Property data

When you create a property profile, we collect the address or coordinates you provide, along with the details you enter: hardiness zone (auto-filled), soil type, what you’re growing, your plots and plantings, and any notes or activity-journal entries you add over time. This data is the foundation of the AI’s context and is never used for any purpose other than providing the service to you.

Conversation history

Every question you ask and every response the AI provides is stored per-property. This memory is what allows Wayfind Grow to give you continuity — the AI can reference what you planted last season, what issues you’ve dealt with, and what advice you’ve already received. You can delete this history at any time.

Photos you upload

If you upload a photo (for example, to ask the AI to identify a plant or diagnose a pest), we store the image in encrypted, private storage scoped to your account. Images are sent to Anthropic for analysis along with your question. We do not share, sell, or use your photos for any purpose other than serving your request.

Daily briefings

If you enable the daily-briefing email, we generate a short summary for your property each morning using Claude and your stored property context, then store and email it to you. You can disable briefings at any time from the property page.

Usage and analytics data

We use PostHog to collect anonymized usage information (pages visited, clicks, session duration) so we can understand which features work and where users get stuck. PostHog also records anonymized session replays — but inputs and on-screen text are masked at the client level, so we never see what you typed (emails, passwords, journal entries, chat content) or what Claude wrote back to you. We currently do not link analytics data to your account identity.

Error and crash reports

We use Sentry to capture errors that occur in the app so we can fix them. Reports include the error type, stack trace, browser/OS, and a Supabase user identifier — but not your email, property details, or conversation content.

How We Use Your Data

  • To provide the AI advisor service, including building and maintaining your property’s context
  • To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, billing)
  • To improve the product based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
  • To contact you about significant changes to the service or these policies

We do not use your property data, conversation history, or location information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose outside of delivering the service.

AI Processing (Anthropic / Claude)

Wayfind Grow uses Claude, an AI model built by Anthropic, to generate responses to your questions. When you send a message, your question and relevant property context are sent to Anthropic’s API to produce a response.

Anthropic processes this data according to their own privacy policy. We do not send your account email or full property address to Anthropic — only the property context you’ve provided (location description, crops, notes) and your question.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. Period.

We share data only with the following sub-processors, each of which processes data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
  • Vercel — application hosting
  • Anthropic (Claude) — AI processing of your questions, images, and property context
  • Resend — sending account emails (confirmations, password resets, daily briefings)
  • PostHog — anonymized product analytics and (masked) session recordings
  • Sentry — application error monitoring
  • Open-Meteo — weather forecasts and geocoding (we send latitude/longitude only)
  • USDA SSURGO — soil data lookups (we send latitude/longitude only)

Beyond these service providers, we may share data only when:

  • Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users or the public
  • Business transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data would transfer to the acquiring entity, and you would be notified

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can delete individual properties, plots, plantings, journal entries, and conversation history at any time from within the app.

You can permanently delete your entire account from Settings → Danger Zone. This action immediately removes your profile, properties, plots, plantings, journal entries, conversations, messages, briefings, briefing preferences, and uploaded photos. Backups containing your data are purged within 30 days.

If you have trouble deleting your account through the app, email info@wayfindgrow.com.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use the following cookies and browser storage:

  • Authentication cookies (Supabase) — required to keep you signed in. The Service cannot function without these.
  • PostHog analytics cookies — an anonymous distinct ID used to deduplicate page views and link events within a session. Not linked to your account identity.
  • Session-recording data (PostHog) — captures clicks, scrolling, and navigation events to help us understand usability. Text inputs and on-screen text are masked client-side; we cannot recover what you typed or saw.

You can disable cookies in your browser, though core features — including staying logged in — will not work without authentication cookies.

Children

Wayfind Grow is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including: access to your data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, portability of your data, and objection to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email info@wayfindgrow.com.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights under the GDPR. We will respond to requests within 30 days.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or with a notice in the app before the changes take effect. The “Effective date” at the top of this page reflects when this version was last updated.
